The first thing the boho bride should be aware of is that shades are getting a little bit deeper. Ivory is still overwhelmingly the colour of choice but layer a few deeper tones or choose a dark ivory as opposed to a standard ivory color.  Of course the fabrics are still floaty and light.  We recommend silk chiffon Tempest in dark ivory to achieve this look or a gorgeous crinkled Georgette fabric called Style in a warm cream color. The flowers too are full of pampas grass and warm creams and muted beiges, sometimes with a spray of brown and orange.  Take inspiration from this gorgeous look from Daci Gowns.

Another emerging trend is wide tiers, both on the skirt and on the sleeves.  This gives a really relaxed feel and adds to the whimsical nature of the look. A small ruffle or a trim helps to define the tier and creates the denouement for this design.  Our top recommendations for Guipure trims are Gypsy or Marilyn.

Floral lace has always been a  mainstay for a bohemian vibe but the lace designs are lighter, more delicately embroidered and without any embellishment at all.  In order to deepen the tones add a cream or champagne underlay.  Our prime picks for boho lace are these flowing designs: Triana, Flockova, Cortina, Gail and Morag.  Alternatively, Guipure has always been popular with the boho bride and continues its appeal.  Romane is probably our most popular Guipure lace and and fits perfectly the artistic, hippie vibe for a bride.  Lisa Lyons Bridal used Romane in this bohemian layered wedding dress.

Alternatively, if a bride does have a celestial calling then the option of a star lace fabric is a sure way to achieve boho brilliance.  Choose from Pabla, Selina, Vedette or Ailsa.
