Bridal Appliques for a Fabulous Flourish
The word 'applique' comes from the French meaning 'to attach' and embellishments that are attached separately to the wedding gown. Traditional areas of a wedding dress for appliques include the neckline and back though creative designers can find many different ways to use these embellishments. Here are three of our favourite wedding dress appliques.
Though a recent addition to our product portfolio, Coral ivory appliques are already a firm favourite. The appliques are available in three different sizes, each of which is a slightly-different shape but clearly a member of the same fabulous family. With a floral theme, the embroidered appliques feature elegant cordwork and 3D petals.
Columba ivory appliques are emblazoned with satin and georgette laser-cut flowers, which are embroidered using silver filigree thread onto a delicate tulle fabric. Pearls and cording are also used to add embellishment.
You can see for yourself how effective these pieces really are in this image, which shows a flower girl dress made by Brenda's Bridal Boutique using Coral appliques. Also available in white.
Refined and elegant yet bursting with magnificent, regal beauty, Belinda lace appliques are highlighted using two different deniers of cording. Whichever of the two sizes you choose, you can be certain that these appliques will excite your flair and creativity, allowing you to create wonderfully unusual effects like those showcased in this gown (created by Rosemary Jane Designs using Belinda lace appliques).
