Congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement from Bridal Fabrics and we have just the lace for the wedding dress – called Meghan!  Named after Miss Markle, our bridal experts here are soooo excited at the prospect of a royal wedding and can’t wait to advise the bride on the possibilities. Meghan is one of our newest laces and is a bold and beautiful lace that is expressive and harmonious – just like the actress.  Travelling up the tulle are bold flower motifs, some of which are 3D appliques, with leaf and smaller floral designs, including buds, flourishing over the tulle base. It’s certainly on trend for the couple’s spring wedding.

Prince Harry’s Grandmother, Queen Elizabeth was married in a silk gown decorated with floral designs and we’re sure Meghan is going to take her inspiration from Royal brides past and present – and we have a range of exquisite floral laces to choose from like Bennedetta - a beaded floral beauty, or Ruby with its floral garlands and baroque style motifs, the detail of which has been embellished with champagne colour filigree thread and clear, colourless sequins.

If Miss Markle wants to sparkle then we recommend Lanisha or Emmeline - featuring intricate embellishment with sequins, pearls, beads and delicate 3D flowers.

Who could forget Princess Diana’s iconic gown of woven silk taffeta and lace detailing – well we’ve got that too!  And Meghan’s future sister-in-law looked ethereal in her lace gown which included our Chantilly Lace: Kate. If Meghan want to follow in her sister in law footsteps and choose a Chantilly, she should take a look at a Mitzi or Antoinette or Bridal fabrics favourite, Bryony.

Perhaps Meghan likes the Guipure look like another Middleton sister?  Then she can choose from Miracle, Serena or our newest Guipure called Haven for a heavenly bridal gown.

What we mustn’t forget is that our future Princess is an actress and if she wants drama, we supply drama in the form of the opulent swirls of Boh lace and the cathedral arcs of Etta Lace too. Or perhaps a nod to her new royal alliance with Elke, a refined regal pattern of swirling motifs and floral accompaniment which is mesmerising.  Whatever Miss Markle’s style, the Bridal Team are eagerly awaiting a call from Clarence House!
