If you are looking for a fresh and exciting lace to create your dream bridal dress for a sumptuous spring wedding, check out our brand new range which is designed to set the trend for 2014. Two of the gorgeous new bridal fabrics now in stock are Constance and Valerie; both laces are incredibly different yet each offer a unique style and charm.
Towards the end of 2013, black lace became extremely popular on the haute-couture catwalk. Renowned designers used the dramatic fabric to stunning effect on a range of bridal creations, versions of which were then seen at several bridal fabric exhibitions. Black lace is certainly not for everyone but appeals to a bride with a true sense of the dramatic and esoteric, who wants her bridal gown to leave a lasting impression. Valerie black lace, which is also ideal for use on corsets, evening wear and theatrical costumes, is truly exquisite with its bold and extravagant embellishments of sequins, diamantes and beads. The embellished fabric features a host of floral motifs which, running throughout the body of the design, lead the eye to the identical, delicately-fringed borders.
The name Constance, derived from the Latin Constantia meaning 'constant' or 'everlasting', is perfect for our newest ivory lace, which has a timelessly appealing beauty. Matching fringed and scalloped edges surround a fine floral design which has been embellished with soft ivory cording, sequins and beads. As the background of this ivory wedding lace is so heavily embroidered, creating a subtle, opaque ivory hue, this is one of our most luxurious bridal fabrics, at once decadent and sophisticated.
Many new bridal fabrics, including crystal trims and lace appliqués, are now available within our extensive collection. Look out for more details soon; please subscribe to our regular newsletter to make sure you never miss any updates from Platinum Bridal Fabrics.
