Vintage Style from Rebecca Elizabeth
Platinum Bridal Fabrics were excited to be tagged on Facebook recently, in photographs of a beautiful bride wearing a stunning dress created using a selection of our exciting laces and appliqués. Designed and made by Rebecca Elizabeth, a bespoke dressmaker working from a bridal shop and studio in the West Midlands.
Rebecca Elizabeth supplies a number of off-the-peg creations in her shop but specialises in bespoke wedding gown design, With an expert touch, she creates unique garments perfectly tailored to her clients, all of whom give glowing feedback on the results. As well as creating stunning bridal gowns, she also has great talent and flair when designing and making dresses for bridesmaids, prom attendees, other wedding guests and children.
The vintage-style dress in the photographs uses several of our fabrics in its creation. Our Majestic Duchess Satin, with its luxurious drape and rich matt finish, has been chosen for its enchanting tactile quality and is perfectly teamed with Sagittarius crystal-embroidered embellishment, a swirling cosmos of beads, pearls, silver filigree thread and diamantes.
Charmaine ivory lace has been used extensively in the making of the unique and desirable dress. With cording and weaving used to create dramatic shading and highlighting across the varying sizes of floral motifs, Charmaine lace offers an unusual and visually-arresting effect that has made it consistently popular since it was added to our collection. The design is a particular favourite of Rebecca’s, who has also used it to create a wedding gown with a stylish button-back jacket.
We would like to thank Rebecca for sharing her fantastic creations with us. We invite you to send in your own photographs of wedding gowns created using our fabrics to feature in our online gallery and we will also enter them into our exciting competition.
